The Gitche Gumme GranFondo starts in Hayward (with optional starting points in Cable & Drummond).
The GranFondo finishes at the Bayfield Pavillion on the shores of Lake Superior in downtown Bayfield, where cyclists can jump in to cool-off in the lake, hang-out, and "re-fuel" while enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Superior.
A hot shower is available for a modest fee of $3 at the Rec Center 2 blocks away from the Bayfield Pavillion for those who want to shower-up before heading out to the many renowned dining establishments within the city of Bayfield.
Busing will begin around 5pm for those who opt-in for busing back to Hayward (or Drummond or Cable). Those needing busing must "opt-in" at the time of registration.
